Humans of MacDuffie

Inspired by the popular blog Humans of New York by Brandon Stanton, this is a series of questions answered by members of MacDuffie, in order to learn more about the community as a whole.

“Describe the impression you had of MacDuffie on your first day of school.”

“I got lost very easily because it was such a big school. I knew that is was going to be a good year since all the people were so nice here, and all the people were offering to help me and direct me. I just knew it was going to be a really good year here.”

“Describe the impression you had of MacDuffie on your first day of school.”

“My first impression was… I actually don’t remember, but it was a good one, certainly. I was so excited to come here, and, it was a great one.

“If you could change one thing about the school, what would it be?”

The little theater, because I think it’s pretty small. And also the cafeteria.”

“What was the most memorable day you had at the school?”

“I think it would probably be the first day, because I think it was pretty good and the school, I think, I was really big so it was kinda hard to find all my classrooms. I think the teachers are warmhearted, I think they helped students.”

“If you could change one thing about the school, what would it be?”

“The dining hall, I think they could make the dining hall bigger, because now it’s too small.”

“What is the most interesting thing happened to you today?”

“I went to the Corn Maze today for [the] field trip”

 

“What is the most interesting thing happened to you today?”

“I change[d] phone service from T-Mobile to AT&T”

“Do you have any new teachers? What has the teacher done that interested you?”

“I have Mr. Bowman. The thing he has done that interested me was that he understands international students. I want to extra help and I told him I didn’t understand vocabulary and he explain[ed] to me slowly. Then I can understand [him] well.”

“What is the impression of Macduffie on your first day or the most interesting/memorable moment of you with school?”

“My first impression is friendship… many people asked me my name and wanted to know me.”

“What is the most interesting thing happened to you today?”

“I worked out for half an hour.”

“If there is one thing you can change about Macduffie, what would you do? Why?”

“I would add more new fitness [equipment] to the fitness room because I think so [much equipment is] old and we will benefit from new [equipment].”

What is the impression of Macduffie on your first day or the most interesting/memorable moment of you with school?”

“It is [with] the Macduffie Tradition and STAR Program [that] students help each other.”
