Step 1: Prepare all of your ingredients. If your string beans are frosted – defrost them and cut into 3-4 cm pieces. Rinse them thoroughly, fill the pot with cold water, and cook 10 minutes after boiling. Then, throw the beans into a colander.

Step 2: Peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into cubes.

Step 3: Heat the pan with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Fry the potatoes over medium heat until golden brown, for 5 minutes, stirring.

Step 4: Peel the garlic, wash, and chop finely.

Step 5: Put potatoes in the stewpan, add green beans and garlic.

Step 6: Pour into the stewpan 300 ml of water (about 1 1/4 cups). Add salt and pepper to taste. Stir and simmer over low heat until the potatoes are soft, 10-15 minutes.

Ta-dah! An easy and tasty dish is done. It can be served separately (great choice for vegetarians) or as a side dish for meat or fish. Potato stew with string beans served hot, sprinkled with green onions if desired.
